Dr. MOllie Rockafellow

Hi, I’m Dr. Mollie Rockafellow — Vice President of Student Affairs, certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator, mom of four, and founder of RockRed LLC.

I grew up in a low-income family, and I know what it feels like to want something better for your kids, your workplace, and your community. That desire to build something stronger and more sustainable is at the heart of RockRed.

My work blends research and lived experience. I draw from Brené Brown’s work on vulnerability and wholehearted leadership, Kristin Neff’s research on self-compassion, the practices of mindfulness, attachment theory (through Adam Young and the Allender Center), and the simple truth that, as James Clear reminds us in Atomic Habits, big change comes from small, consistent steps.

I’m also an experienced strategic planner and facilitator, with certifications in Mental Health First Aid, suicide assessment, threat assessment, and behavioral intervention. Recently, RockRed partnered with other community leaders on initiatives like postvention strategic planning, helping counties and organizations build compassionate, coordinated responses to suicide and trauma.

Through RockRed, I help:

  • Leaders and workplaces reduce conflict, build respect, and strengthen culture.

  • Educators create classrooms where civility and empathy shape future leaders.

  • Communities prepare for and respond to crises with compassion and strategy.

  • Families (including my own!) teach little ones how to live with kindness, respect, and financial responsibility.

Whether I’m designing a leadership retreat, co-developing a community-wide plan, creating a civility toolkit, or teaching my kids how to manage their first dollars, my mission is the same:

✨ To help people connect, grow, and thrive by practicing civility, courage, and consistency every day.
